How much does a container cost?
A brand-new 20ft container is £2,600 + VAT, with delivery priced to your postcode. For other sizes, used containers and extras, request a quote and we’ll send you one clear price, delivery included.
What’s the difference between new and used?
New containers are in near-perfect condition, ideal for conversions or anywhere they’ll be on show. Used containers have been inspected and will show some cosmetic wear, which makes them great value for storage.
What sizes do you sell?
20ft and 40ft, standard height. Need something else? Ask and we’ll see what we can source.
Can you add doors, windows or shelving?
Yes. Tell us what you need in your quote and we can fit extras before delivery.
How long can I hire a container for?
From short projects to long-term storage. We’ll confirm the hire period and terms in your quote.
Is a hired container secure?
Yes. They’re steel and lockable. You can add a lock box for extra security.
Can I rent a unit instead of having one delivered?
Yes. So Smart Hub in Poole, Dorset has container offices, studios and storage units to rent.
How much does a conversion cost?
Every conversion is made to order, so the price depends on the size, layout and finish. Tell us what you have in mind and we’ll send you a clear quote.
How long does a conversion take?
It depends on the conversion. We’ll give you a timeline with your quote.
Do I need planning permission?
It depends on where it’s going and how it will be used. Many garden buildings fall under permitted development, but always check with your local council. We’re happy to talk it through.
Can I use it all year round?
Yes. Insulated, lined and heated conversions are comfortable through the seasons.
Can you add a kitchen or toilet?
Yes, where your site allows for water and drainage. Mention it in your quote and we’ll talk it through.
Do you deliver, and how?
Yes, anywhere in the UK. We’ll check access to your site with you before delivery.
What access do you need for delivery?
A clear route to your site and enough space where it’s going. We’ll talk through your access before we book the delivery.
What kind of ground does it need?
A firm, level base such as a concrete pad, hardstanding or sleepers. We can advise on the right base for your site.
Do I need to be there for delivery?
It helps if you, or someone who knows where it should go, can meet the driver. We’ll arrange a time with you.
